Growth Part 3

Here are four more areas that will help you to grow spiritually. And If you will apply these four areas plus the previous three, I believe you will start to see growth in your life. Let me say this, it won’t be easy! You will need to work at it. But if you do work at it, you won’t be disappointed with the results. God is faithful. and He wants to see you grow into a mature follower of Christ.

4. In order to grow we need a caring family—Fellowship

Acts 2:42 – They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship. Hebrews 10:25 – Don’t stay away from meeting together.

5. In order to grow we need regular exercise—Service

Follow Christ’s example in Matthew 20:28 – For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Galatians 5:13 – For you are called to freedom, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.

6. In order to grow we need protection—Temptation

We need to put on the “full armor of God”! Ephesians 6:10-19 is huge for our walk. I think we have heard this passage so many times through the years that we have taken it for granted. We look at this passage of scripture, like it’s just another bible story. People wake up and smell the coffee! Satan wants to destroy you, he wants to destroy your marriage, he wants to destroy relationships that you have built. And if you don’t use the tools that God has given you to protect yourself from him, then his fiery darts will bring harm to your life. Put on the full armor of God!!!!!

7. In order to grow we need to give—Stewardship

God has commanded us to give. In the old testament (Book of Malachi) He asks us to bring 10%, In the new testament we are to give generously as Christ is generous. Or out of our abundance. Just like the widow with two mites Luke 21:1:4. Give, Give, Give!

So now don’t waste any more time, be diligent in your growth!!!!!
