Stretch Marks pt. 2

“Blessed be the …God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For as the sufferings of Christ overflow to us, so our comfort overflows through Christ. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is experienced in the endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that as you share in the sufferings, so you will share in the comfort.” 2 Cor. 1

In the previous post, I shared what God is doing around me, in people, marriages, families and situations. I concluded that post stating that, “Life is definitely NOT boring right now!” We are rockin’ and-a rollin’ in Jesus and we have gotten the attention of the enemy. His goal is to not make things easy, in fact, he hopes to destroy us and everything around us.

Crazy as it sounds, I’m embracing the challenges. When things are chaotic, I cling closer to my Jesus. (Don’t get me wrong, I love boring – calm – peace, but I also understand that when you’re committed to gettin’ it done in Jesus Name, there’s going to be opposition and challenges.) Goes back to the scripture, “when I am weak, He is strong.” I like it when He is strong (He is always strong :-)). I like being in a place where I’ve totally dependent on Him (that’s where He wants me to be). I like having to be completely in-tuned to Him in order to follow Him each step. I like being comforted (see verses above) so that I can in turn comfort others. What a ride! I wouldn’t trade my Jesus for anything!
