The topic of many blogs lately. Perry Noble shares from his heart. I have heard his comments on how we are so quick to judge someone who drinks alcohol or smokes a cigarette, but never the one who “abuses the buffet”, a sin just like any other addiction. It’s all well and good to hear those comments from a fit pastor, but now to know that it is in fact a struggle for him as well, he’s not hammering people with weight issues. He’s reaching out to help make a difference and encourage Christians in this area of life like any other. I really enjoyed and am challenged by his post today: http://www.perrynoble.com/2008/08/04/wrestling-with-weight-issues-part-one/
Yesterday’s was good too, how quick we are to take a stand on alcohol (which kills about 100,000 people a year) but say nothing about obesity (which kills about 300,000 people a year!)
I look forward to tomorrow’s post as well, “six steps I think anyone can take in this area and start on the road to a better and more healthy life”.
